Yeah, I read that part, and the part about "dumbing down" the resume, and I agree, but there's more than just those places that will hire people with degrees. I mean, I would just tell the person who was interviewing me that I want to make a career out of it or something. Ah yes - while in vet school. That's the thing. They know they have you for X amount of years. And if you have only one semester or so left, forget about it.
I worked retail while in Grad School, too. When I was unemployed after Grad School I tried to go back to Target - no dice.
