I like to ask unemployed grads what they studied in school, and it's usually something along the lines of art history or Chicano studies. That's great if you want to study that for personal enrichment but to expect to get a viable career out of it is unrealistic in my mind.
Do you ever proofread your "arguments" to see if they make sense? LMAO!

PiKA2001, I think both our arguments are hitting too close to home. When people grasp at straws trying to find something, anything to refute or invalidate our points, we must've hit a nail on the head somewhere.

People who cannot make solid arguments, and proceed to contradict themselves in the same paragraph live nowhere close to my home.

Furthermore, anyone who went to a top tier university would know that theory and critical thinking are emphasized over practical job-related skills at the undergraduate level (with the exception of a handful of majors such as accounting). I am sorry that you were not aware of this, but I'm not surprised.

When/ where did I contradict myself and who said I was making an argument?I was expressing my view on the subject at hand BASED on my own PERSONAL experiences in the job market. If you were referring to my comment about certain degree programs not "paying out" , well I stand by that statement. I'd rather attend an IBEW tradeschool than pay for a worthless degree from any top tier school.
