Once again? Who cares?

I don't need a slate full of Greek people to justify going Greek. I also don't need websites full of "famous people" who are Greek to make me feel warm & fuzzy about my decisions. And I dont need all of that in order to tell a non-affiliated person the great things about Greek life.

If you want to sell the idea of Greek life by saying "Look! John McCain is a XYZ man! If you join XYZ you can be just like him!!!" or "Look! Paris Hilton is my sorority sister! If you join my chapter you can be rich and famous like her too!!!" then you keep on caring about who is and who isn't.

... I am actually prouder of many of the Greek men and women I know who you will never hear of - who use those skills to better their communities, their schools, their small-but-still-successful businesses. I believe that the benefits of GLO membership can't - and shouldn't - just be measured by the famous, or those who ascend to a high position of power.
