The Life Of A Fraternity / Sorority Member!

THE LIFE OF A FRATERNITY / SORORITY MEMBER!

Year 1-3 of Membership:
I am the most HARDCORE BROTHER/SISTER to have ever crossed the burning sands! NO ONE shall even THINK about disrespecting my organization. Any slight to my organization will be dealt with SWIFTLY AND HARSHLY!!! I have the schedule of every step show in the United States and I intend to appear at each one. And my organization must win each and every time or we have been CHEATED. I can't believe all of the LIES people keep saying about my organization. How dare someone that is not in my organization have the unmitigated gall to ask for information about my hallowed organization! Don't you know that since I have pledged, we don't need anybody else?

By the way, did you know that I pledged the hardest of anyone EVER at my school?

Year 4-8 of Members!
Boy, I really miss my undergraduate chapter. Why do I come to these graduate meetings? They won't let me do anything and they are a bunch of old fogies. You know, I just realized that I have a few friends that pledged something else, and they are really not all that bad. In fact, most people in those OTHER organizations are kind of ok, even though they did pledge the wrong organization. Man, what happened to all of my paraphernalia. And how come the undergrads don't use the steps that we used to use back in the day?

By the way, did you know that I pledged for over twelve weeks and a day?

Year 8-12 of Membership: -
You know, I could still step if I had to. I have finally gained some power in the grad chapter and I intend to turn the whole organization upside down. What will my child pledge, and how can I brainwash him/her into pledging the organization that I want him/her to join? By the way, how many people are still at my old undergraduate chapter?
Why do undergrads persist in calling me 'old school'? I'm only 30, 31, 32, 33, 34. Maybe I should buy some paraphernalia because I can't seem to find any that still fits. And what do I do with this old 'nalia? I sure can't throw it away. Oh well, I'll keep it in a bag.

By the way, do you now that I pledged for 24 weeks, took wood every fifteen minutes of the day, and didn't sleep for two straight weeks?

Years 12 and beyond of Membership:
Why do we still have undergrad chapters and why do they continue to put the organization at risk? How dare they have any type of fun or parties! Don't they know that we grads are the most important members of the organizations?

By the way, did you know that I crossed only having walked on my hands and knees from the East Coast to the West Coast, while in a rainstorm, while on my knees, while maintaining my 4.0 GPA while online. And I loved every minute of it!

I tell you this sounds just like the stories I've heard every year at Alumni B-B-Q. Things like , "boy back then they used to beat our @$$es with canes wrapped in barbed wire. I got the scars to prove it. Wanna see???"
