Dear PETCAM

I know that my actions over the past few weeks might seem confusing and perhaps hurtful. By way of explanation, not excuse, I have been dealing with some personal stress and disappointments (you know about these) and it is my tendency in these times to push people away rather than draw them near. Perhaps my actions have seemed more hurtful because you have only every tried to support me. If it is any consolation, I did not just do this to you, I have done it to everyone; it was not personal. I have a lot of fences to mend. Hopefully some day soon, I will be able to explain and apologize.

Oh, for heaven's sake, if the same thing I've been doing has been annoying you for A YEAR, why didn't you tell me A YEAR ago, instead of unleashing A YEAR'S worth of anger on me all at once!!!! How much sense did that make???? Stop the passive-aggression and put your big girl panties on.

Dear Lord,

March 7th will now hold yet another memory of a loved one. Please take care of my aunt as she joins her father and her 2 brothers in Heaven. I really am concerned about things that has been the common thread btw my fam that cannot be overlooked. Lord, can pancreatic cancer be hereditary? *sigh*

More prayers are requested.

I understand where you are right now. I have lost my grandmother and uncle (her son) to pancreatic cancer. I will be praying for you and your family during this difficult time.

My prayers are with you and your family, I lost my great-great-grandmother a week before I crossed the sands, and I am still hurting inside, but with the Lord on our side I know you know that everything will be alright.

Dear 2007,

I will miss you with all of your love filled months and shopping sprees; you will come around soon in the form of 2010.

You weren't too bad while we were together although you could have been better. I look forward to seeing you in my memories.

Dear Supervisor I Wish Would Hurry Up and Retire:

HOW DARE YOU. There is nothing in this God-given world that would make this situation her fault. She is a beautiful little girl who was unjustly shoved into her own locker. "Accident" or not, she had every right to say something to the boy who did it and what he called her was COMPLETELY out of line. Words like that can shatter a young black girl, as if she didn't have the rest of the world trying to destroy her beauty. At this age, she is vulnerable and fragile and what he said has the power to utterly devastate her spirit. For you to sit up there and tell her it's her own fault for speaking up when she was shoved and "it would never have happened if she hadn't said anything" absolutely burns me to my core. NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT SO SAY SUCH FOUL THINGS TO ANYONE, ESPECIALLY NOT A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL WHO WAS STANDING UP FOR HERSELF. If you ever tell another child that the things a boy calls her are her own fault, whoever is above you will be hearing from me promptly.

Dear Family:

Ya'll are really draining me. I don't mind driving to NC, but from now on, someone will have to meet me halfway. I can't drive 8 hours with lilnikki in the car. If you want to spend time with her, great! But please make sure that she has transportation back to the halfway point. I don't think 45 minutes out of your way is too much to ask. Remember, I don't have any help, I'm doing this alone. Please work with me.

Dear CBS programing people,

WHY IN THE HELL DID YA'LL DECIDED TO CANCEL WITHOUT A TRACE????? That show was still good. I don't get to watch it as much as I used to due to work, but dang! Cancel Ghost Whisper instead! How in the devil someone can get pregnant for their husband's ghost?

And also, for my soror 9dstpm, could ya'll also reconsider canceling The Unit so she can see Dennis every Sunday?

Dear CBS:

I just received the awful news today. Not only are you canceling The Unit, arguably one of THE BEST military dramas on TV right now, you are also putting my TV boyfriend Dennis out of work. Did you all really have to do that to him 2 weeks before his 55th birthday? Did ya'll really need to add Medium to your lineup? It already comes on Lifetime! Does Jenna Elfman (with her dizzy self) really need a new show? I'm with my soror JB13, we are not exactly clamoring for more Ghost Whisperer!

Also, I am beyond angry that ya'll decided to cancel The Unit with Dennis and his TV wife (the always excellent Regina Taylor) on the outs. That was sooo jacked up! That was a hot mess seeing Dennis all sexy in his dress uniform at his comrade's wedding while the next scene shows his wife packing her suitcases and walking away. Dang!

So outside of Cold Case and maybe The Price is Right, I will no longer watch your sorry network. Excuse me while I go offer some support to Dennis on his Facebook page.
