Saudi Rape victim is sentenced

I have no professional opinion on Islamic law since I don't claim to know a damned thing about it.

Further, since I'm a law student, I could tell you my professional opinion about stuff, but then I'd have to kill you.

My personal opinion, of course, remains that the lawgivers who will allow this to occur and who enforce this sentence are a pack of barbaric animals who deserve nothing short of the horrific death which they would impose upon others.

By "barbaric animals," I mean anyone in the Saudi government or clergy who has not condemned this brutality. The Saudi people, of course, deserve a bit of condemnation for not overthrowing these animals.

I really hope that something happens to diminish the importance of Arab oil in the global economy. Only then could we hope to actually be able to leave these animals to their own devices. 'Til then, putting up with these sorts of atrocities is more-less the cost of doing business.
