Is it true that you fart A LOT when pregnant? That's got to be worse than morning sickness...socially, lol.

Sadly, it is for me. I usually blame it on a) the dog, b) my husband, or c) some other innocent bystander. Whoever smelt it, dealt it, and all that.

Congrats Leslie! I'll be hoping for a ZA AGD legacy! I'm sorry you're having such a rough time but it should pass soon. I had a friend who ended up hospitalized and on IVs with both of her pregnancies and she just had to wait it out. I don't have advice to give, but I hope you're feeling better before the school year starts. The second trimester is usually the easiest, physically.

I had horrible morning sickness with my two girls - none with my boys (!). I ate a lot of chocolate Malt O Meal. I could usually keep it down, and at least when I couldn't it was easy to throw up - sad, isn't it, when you pick your foods not for what they taste like, but how easy they are to throw up. . . .but remember, it is worth it. Miserable, I know, but worth it!

I wonder if that is common, because I had morning sickness (and yes, did pick out food based on how it would be to throw up!) with my girl, but not my boy as well... I've thought it had to do with the unisom and B vitamins, but it may just as easily be the gender difference. I've also heard that it could have been harder on me with my husband being 100% Zapoteca Mexican...I read that mulatto babies are harder on the mother.

I'm on boy #3 and have had horrible morning/noon/night sickness with all of them- so I cannot imagine how bad it would be if I had a girl!
The sickness for the most part went away around week 16, however I still have certain foods (like Chinese Buffet) that I can't even look at without getting sick. I guess too many memories of what it tasted like the second time around.

Oh, and I still gag when I brush my teeth in the morning. Anyone else have this problem? My 2 year old now fake gags when I brush his teeth. I think he thinks that is part of the teeth brushing process.
