You sound like you're a really great person and truly blessed. Sometimes when we have much, we feel the need to want to not isolate ourselves and want to give everyone an opportunity to be our friend. If you REALLY want to be friends with this guy, he has to EARN your friendship. He never will if you reward him with your friendship when he doesn't deserve it. Anyone who would put you in this kind of danger is NOT your friend. If you cut him off (no communication - just ignore him!!! I know it's hard but you GOT TO!) he will learn that to be around "better behaving folks" he himself has to do better.
All you're teaching him is that he can be an azz and still get the "good" girl.
