That dude will probably be the one to bail that chick out...why would he be upset that you pressed charges if he wasn't still involved with her....from your post you don't seem like the type use to or willing to dealing with confrontation and if you continue to deal with this guy the drama will be there......let that mess be....life's too short for the BS!!!

It sounds to me as if they had a fight and he decided to make her jealous using you. Been there, done that, cut your losses and move on.

p.s. Why did you buy him a gift in the first place at this point in the "relationship?"
