I am analytical and a thinker, not a "feeler" (despite being sensitive) and I'm asking questions not because they are in trouble or did anything wrong. My job is to solve problems quickly, not talk them to death.

Sometimes confidence (which I have a good amount of, always have, since I was a preschooler, I'm told) gets mistaken for something else. I'm still learning the fine arts of diplomacy and tact and how to "finesse" things. I'm a work in progress, what can I say?
LOL, the directness probably is a result of my education and experience in Journalism. It's directly contrary to my inborn tendency to react emotionally first (ask my family, they'll say I'm a drama queen). I honestly had to work at learning to think analytically, and when to use which side of my brain.

I really think that the situation that the OP sucks, but emotions aren't going to bring her to a solution. And by solution I don't necessarily mean "what she wants". I do hope that she finds peace in whatever does happen. The flip side of the sucky part is that she is part of a wonderful national organization for life - if she chooses to be.
