Do you remember all of my stories?? LOL

We had a great weekend. I was originally going to drive out Saturday but we had a winter storm warning for Saturday so I drove out there Friday night. I picked up some great desserts from a place called Tony Cannoli and he cooked us steaks. I introduced him to my favorite chocolate wine. We exchanged gifts- I gave him a gift certificate so he could pick out a candlelight concert to attend. I am NOT engaged- he gave me a beautiful lapis lazuli stone ring, a beautiful locket that we agreed we would put a picture of us from one of my sorority formals into, and a really cute candle that smells like vanilla and looks like a tree trunk/branches with "My Name + His Name" carved into it. So cute It was the first time in ages we didn't have to get up early so we talked until 3 am before we finally fell asleep. Saturday, we were meeting his mom and sister in East Lansing for dinner and to see MJ the Musical at Wharton Center. We drove home in an ice storm and that was pretty anxiety inducing. There was icy fog that kept icing over the windshield. We had the heat turned way up and blowing on the windshield and he was using a lot of washer fluid to keep the ice from building up and blocking his vision. We had to stop a couple times to refill his washer fluid. It was nerve wracking.
We didn't get back to his house until almost midnight.I woke up this morning and got ready to leave. I remote started my car because it had snow on it and then the ice from the night before and then more snow. He came to see how I was doing with getting ready to go and to ask if he could help with anything. I asked him to pack my keto snacks from the fridge and told him I remote started the car so it could start to melt. He opened the blinds and showed me that my car was already cleaned off. THAT is what I love about this man. That was so incredibly thoughtful. He's so kind to me. I had to time my drive home between the major snow squalls and thankfully my drive home was uneventful.

She’s mad cool because she was saying while she doesn’t follow the movement, she can understand why some women follow it. Not to get on the battle of the sexes conversation but I asked her who does she think would hold out longer if all men and all women practiced this movement to counter each other? She said men would blink first because we love sex. She said men would last 20 minutes Lmao!
What’s y’all’s take on it? Be respectful.

I think it's just about the only way to get the attention of the men who think women shouldn't have bodily autonomy.
P.S. He also had a dozen roses delivered to me on Wednesday so I could enjoy them since he knew I'd be gone for the weekend with him.

Sounds like everything was wonderful, TKEguy wise. But that weather! I don't think I've ever experienced "icy fog" and I've lived in Michigan all my life. Sounds horrible!!!
One of my daughter's sorority sisters, who was from Atlanta, had no idea what the defroster button in her car was for until they had a big snowstorm and GenerallyGreek was schooling her on how to clear off your car. She was also totally unfamiliar with the practice of starting your car first so it warms up and makes the job easier. Also, her sisters were incredibly impressed with the long "scraper on one end/brush on the other" car clearing tool GG had -- "what is this incredibly handy invention with which I was previously unfamiliar?!!"

Okay, so right now, I am laughing so hard. I’m at work waiting for my car to warm up so I can go home for the day. While I’m still here at work waiting, I saw this and I asked my tech what “Monk Mode” and “MGTOW” mean. She just told me… HILARIOUS! I’m like, is this seriously really a thing? Sheez, what will be the next word defining weird people? lol

Dee, your stories were the BEST! But the only ones better now are the stories about you and TKE Guy. I’m so happy you two had such a fun and wonderful Valentine’s Day. He is such an amazing guy and I’m so happy the two of you reconnected.

This is good stuff, AGDee. I’m glad y’all enjoyed each other this holiday season. Do y’all get together every weekend or during the week too?

It's a 2 hour and 37 minute drive each way (172 miles), so it's just weekends.

That weather and that drive was unreal. When we stopped to buy gas and more washer fluid, I chipped ice off of his headlights and had to "whap" the windshield wipers against the windshield to get all the ice off of them. There was nothing on the back lights or windows. So weird. My brother had a similar experience when he went to UNC Chapel Hill. I guess when I move to the west side, we'll have to get together!

I forgot to mention that I met the son that lives out of state this weekend AND I met TKEGuy's ex-wife. It was an eventful weekend for sure.

The ex? Well, that’s interesting. So, how’d that go?
And his son? Was he nice and accepting? How many kids does TKE Guy have?

She was really nice. She made a point to say that she was really happy that we found each other.
The son was nice. He has two sons. I've spent a little more time with the local one and his girlfriend. One is 28 (almost 29 - the one who lives in Vegas near his mom) and one is 24 (who lives near TKEGuy). My kids are 29 and 31.

That’s great, Dee. I’m still amazed at how the two of you reconnected after all those years. I mean, with previous marriages and families within that gap would make that nearly impossible, it seems. Without social media connections, do you think you’d have ever found each other again?

WIFLSRN: I’m going to have my work cut out for me next week. My hubby is picking up the girls cookie inventory today, so next week, since he’ll be in Michigan for work for a week, that leaves me to do all the Girl Scout, gymnastics, and tennis meets alone next week, plus work. But we’re going to watch my alma mater play basketball Saturday, which should be fun. That should keep my mind off of next week for a few hours, lol.
Gooooooo Gophers!
