I'm happy with the results for sure, and I understand why they want to disclose this information to be able to make claims about progress in this area.

But I found a school official commenting publicly about bids that were extended but not claimed kind of a bad direction to move it if membership selection is actually private. (ETA: by bids extended, I guess I mean bids that would have been extended had bid matching worked differently. I assume that what was meant was that all 16 had AA PNMS on their bid lists but that the NMs matched elsewhere. I don't think that's information that should be publicly commented on if membership selection is private and up to the groups.)
1) We are pretty open around here about the fact that, in most cases, invite to pref = on bid list somewhere.

2) Equal access to the Greek System and accountability on that point is more important than your comfort in reading this article.

Equal access and accountability are very important, but officially and publicly commenting about who was on a group's bid list by an official outside the group is categorically a bad idea.

Agreed. And if a handful of actives hadn't been courageous enough last year to shed some light on what was really happening during MS, no one would've known the true extent of what was really going on at Alabama. When alums around the country caught wind of it, they weren't all up in arms about privacy being breached, but they were outraged at discrimination happening at one of their chapters.

Congrats to all the AA women who found their homes at Alabama this year!!
