I don't see it that way at all. What he's saying is that all 16 groups offered bids to at least one of the 21 AA women. the 21 women matched to 10 of the groups. So THEY wanted the 10 groups more than the 6 other groups.

What if he also added that 3,129 (or whatever) bids were offered to 2,054 women? It's the same thing. All he's saying is that at least one AA women was on every chapter's bid list.

Did y'all really think they wouldn't publicize this information after what happened last year? Duh!

I think you can accomplish as much or more by simply stating that all AA PNM who participated in recruitment got bids.

If we want groups to actually feel the pressure to recruit and welcome AA members, then making sure that everyone gets PR brownie points for inviting folks to prefs might be counterproductive.

No, they had to show that all the groups had one on their bid list. There was no other way around this. If they hadn't, the question would have been asked and that would have been bad PR. I don't like how any of this has played out. This is my school and I live here in Birmingham. But I've got enough sense to understand what we have to do. I was in school at Bama when it integrated in 1963. That was my freshman year and I had PE with Vivian Malone, the National Guard and the FBI. Seriously, folks, they had to do this, right, wrong or indifferent, they had to give the numbers.
