You remind me of a guy who came through rush at my school last year. Said some of the exact same things you just did. When it came to voting on PNMs, he got a unanimous no and we all laughed at how he acted. Talk about trying way too hard.
Only one chapter gave him a bid and revoked it on the night of induction.
