needing advice

I'm currently an RA, however, I'm leaving the job after this semester. Too much drama and it's affecting my grades.

As an RA, I'm required to go to a certain number of Hall Council and Resident Student Association meetings. Next week is Seniors week for my chapter of DZ. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights have been set aside for required events. Monday and Wednesday night are various dinners. However, Tuesday is ritual. My new member educator is very flexible when it comes to jobs conflicting with sorority stuff, and very understanding especially with RAs since many sisters are former RAs. However, I'm thinking about skipping the my meeting on Tuesday night so I can attend ritual. I'm sure I'd regret missing it more than I'll miss the docked pay (3 hours).

What do you guys think? Should my job come first even though I'm resigning? I hate being irresponsible and having to miss something, so I don't know what to do.

Tell the dorm mother, or I guess now it's the hall director, about your situation. I'm sure they'll let you miss one RA meeting, especially since 1. ritual is mandatory, and 2. you're leaving the job anyway. If you have any problems, let us know...I've been wanting a good argument.
