So many threads on what to wear!

- My rush 'what to wear' guide says that I have to wear the designated rush t-shirt for Rotationals and Philanthropy night along with "your choice of comfortable, casual bottoms". What can I do to stand out in what (from what I can tell from the provided pictures) will be a sea of women in t-shirts, jeans and flip-flops?

- In signing up for recruitment, they ask for a photo of yourself. Should I use my senior photo or one that is more casual? What do you think they'll be using these photos for?

Thanks in advance! You're all so, so helpful.
I don't think I ever remember there being so many threads on what to wear? Maybe there is a job opportunity there.....I do understand being nervous and making sure you are making a good impression and standing out. I think you should stand out with you conversations. Having said that I agree with previous posters that it is ok to talk about mission trips and community service and if it fits in with the conversation I think that is ok too. I think the caution on here about talking about religion would be more on the side of religious core value type of things that get people nervous. For instance, you wouldn't want to have a conversation about how you get to heaven in a recruitment party, right?

I really like both pairs of pants that you showed us. I think either would be appropriate and capris are cute. Just make sure you look TNT in them. You want to wear something that fits your body type. If you go the capri route have a cute pair of shoes.

I think the photo is SO important. As being someone that volunteers on the other side (maybe the dark side, ha!) We use the photos to recognize you when you walk through the door. I can tell you we have had some interesting photos come through. The ones that stand out to me are the ones that have been photo shopped to within an inch of their life and the girl that walks through the door is unrecognizable. I think a senior picture is fine or a casual one that is flattering. Don't send one in with a boy, an animal or a goofy or compromising situation- yes we get those too! I sometimes wonder what these girls are thinking. We also don't need an 8x10 glossy small ones are fine. One more thing, if they are only asking for 1 picture they are probably scanning them or copying them. Make sure they reproduce well.

Good luck to you! Have fun and let us know how it goes.
