Okay, I'm glad those capris work. My mother always says 'it's better to be overdressed than underdressed', but I always feel very uncomfortable when I'm overdressed. I think/hope that those keep me in the comfortable zone of being dressed appropriately for the events.

I completed the form, and based on the advice from you and the other people who've posted (thank you so much, Drolefile and 33girl!), I sent one of the more casual portraits from my senior photo sitting.

No problem! The only time I recall someone so overdressed she stuck out she was wearing a very cocktail-semiformal style dress to pref and it was SILVER. Very. Very. Silver. But as I cannot recall who it was or where she joined I can't say that it probably ended up hurting her in the end.
