I'm not going to lie that in my Spike Lee film class when Charlie Murphy came on in Mo' Better Blues and Jungle Fever I almost yelled out DARKNESS! but someone else beat me to it as I have a bit more self control, and well, that person is on your team knight_shadow. I did mutter "Cocaine's a helluva drug" when Samuel L. Jackson was doing it in Jungle Fever.

So did anyone catch that Rush Limbaugh said he'd leave if the Health Care bill passed? I thought he was for real real and not for play play when I saw his really ugly penthouse listed for sale, but that was due to the mayor of NYC taxing rich people, and not because of health care.

I believe Rush said that he would leave the country for his medical services. I think he mentioned Costa Rica where I believe he already has a vacation home. I am not 100% positive on this, though.

As long as you don't believe that he is serious.

No, you're right.
CALLER: If the health care bill passes, where would you go for health care yourself? And the second part of that is, what would happen to the doctors, do they have to participate in the federal program, or could they opt out of it? [...]

LIMBAUGH: My guess in even in Canada and even in the UK, doctors have opted out. And once they've opted, they can’t see anybody Medicare, Medicaid, or what will become the exchanges. They have to have a clientele of private patients that will pay them a retainer and it'll be a very small practice. I don't know if that's been outlawed in the Senate bill. I don’t know. I'll just tell you this, if this passes and it's five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented — I am leaving the country. I'll go to Costa Rica.
Apparently, he missed the part where Costa Rica has universal, nationalized healthcare. But going there for his healthcare will show the socialists here.

What an absolute idiot.

My Con Law class had a 8:00 a.m. makeup class today. And we've spent the first 40 minutes, and will presumably continue for the next 10, talking about nothing but the health care bill and how it relates to the commerce power and the issues of federalism we've been talking about.

Which is great, because this means I won't have to do any reading for our regular, non-makeup class later today. Yet another reason to love the health care bill!

I hope you aren't logging on during class.
