Oh, don't worry too much. I'm sure she just "got caught up" in something implausible (like college finals and move out in July - right?!) and will be back to continue her story sporadically over the next three months...

(emphasis mine)

To be fair, students in summer school may have just completed their finals. Those same students would also be moving out of the dorms now, too.

Barbie - please finish your story!

This thread is perfection. I'm thinking "this thing" has got to be that Barbie's great-great-great-grandmama was a Jems founder.

My dear girl, you don't know? Barbie's great-great-aunt-twice-removed-married-to-a-former-aide-to-a-U.S. Senator invented sequined hose... and they were first tested for wear, durability, and long-lasting sparkle in high-priced, erm, "social houses," if you smell what the Rock is cookin'. Didn't I tell you-- SCANDALOUS!

Excuse me! Those weren't social houses, they were sorority houses. It isn't our fault those cities instituted those pesky brothel laws that confuse so many people!

Fair point - I did decide not to call shenanigans in that thread so we could see it ride out. But really, the randoms always get caught up for inexplicable reasons and drag their stories on for weeks and weeks.
