BOTH Bush girls got in trouble for underage drinking at bars. I never could understand how dumb they thought their bartenders would be. A young woman who has a vaguely familiar face comes in with SS guys in suits (not looking like the typical college guys) right behind her and hands over a fake ID????
Didn't one of the Johnson daughters pledge a sorority when her father was the Commander-In-Chief? I vaguely recall that she lived in her house as did the SS attachment.

I could never understand how dumb those girls were, thinking for an instant they could get away with it. Never mind the impact it would have on their parents - those in their late teens/early twenties usually don't think of their actions' affect on those around them, so I don't blame the Bush twins for not doing so. But jeez, they're famous. How could they believe they wouldn't get caught?
Thus endeth the tangent.

Well, it's because they are famous that they probably didn't think they would get caught. Look at Lindsay Lohan-- she takes her 14 year old sister to parties and bars. Do you really think the 14 year old is drinking pepsi at 2am at a bar? But they get away with it becuase they are famous. Drew Barrymore is another example.
As for famous people in a chapter, we didn't have anyone REALLY famous, but the daughter of a regional celebrity was in my sister's sorority and the only difference was on Parents Weekend when her dad was walking around campus. It did help that her last name was a pretty generic one- not like Judd or something that would automatically set off interest.

Lynda Johnson is a ZTA. I once read in our magazine that some of her chapter sisters at the time enjoyed teasing the SS

She pledged AOII, but dropped for some reason- I'm not sure about the details there either. BUT, she pretty much got to choose which house she wanted to join.

I really don't believe that, sorry. I can't imagine a girl who has MADE ANTM just quitting because "the other girls are less fortunate." She probably got cut.
