And I was glad to read the article about Biden's comment. Honestly, I had never heard abut that remark.
Unfortunately, I hear the articulate "compliment" quite a bit. I remember one day in a class the teacher was trying to get us to think of a word to indicate going down a hill in a quick manner. So I said "careen." There was this huge gasp from the white folks. Later several of them came up to me asking how I knew that word. Annoying. Then one of them said, "you're not like the other Black people I know. You're really smart and articulate."
