I love the dress, but I think the shoes are a little too casual and don't really go with it. Something about wooden heels and cocktail dresses just doesn't add up to me. I'd personally go for something a little bit more formal like:

Something with a little more visual interest but not frilly. (Obviously they don't need to be expensive, I'm a firm believer in DSW and Payless, but just some ideas.)
I think it's best to either pick a color combination that doesn't line up with any of the sororities on campus or make sure you have a backup for pref. I think in some cases it can get taken the wrong way. I know personally I wouldn't discount a girl who showed up wearing blue & blue with a key necklace, but it would definitely catch my attention. But like everyone has said, it's not something you need to worry about right now. It's nice to think ahead though!
