I loved Daddy Yankee et al when they were on Spanish radio...then I started hearing them on everything from R&B to Mainstream stations, and it was like the Macarena all over again...overplayed.

I forgot about No Doubt's reggae influences

e.g. "Underneath it All" as well as their many ska songs, e.g. "Bathwater", "Spiderwebs"

Some of my current favorites:

Tessanne Chin - Hide Away+ her sister has a bunch of decent songs (Tami Chynn), one is a duet with Sean Paul off The Trinity album.

Stephen Marley - Let Her Dance (with Maya Azucena & Illestr8) + The Traffic Jam with his brother Damien. Actually - anything by anybody from that family is love.

Da'Ville - Over You (there's a remix with Sean Paul, but I like the one by himself better)

Alaine - Sacrifice + No Ordanairy Love
