Who sings that song "no no no you don't love me and I know now" this may be kind of old but it's a good reggae song. I heard it on the radio about 2 weeks ago and I heard it first on the movie "Klash" that Jasmine Guy started in.

not trying to change the subject by any means but.......what made Jasmine Guy do that movie. I mean I was so accustomed to seeing her play Whitley and in Harlem Nights. It was like she was a corner woman (in better terms!), in that movie. You know how sometimes entertainers get hard on their luck and would be willing to do anything. I wonder did that happen to her because seems like she didn't have much luck after A Different World. I mean maybe it was something she was elated to do. I just asked the question.
Maybe one of you heard?

I LOVE REGGAE!!!
I had to reply to this topic!!
I do believe Lady Saw has a new CD coming out. Her newest single is titled "Bad Girl" and is on the Reggae Gold 2002 CD. That CD is off the chains!! .
Also to check out some Jamaican patois, food, etc. Go to www.jamaicans.com. and for some good mixed CD's check out this new and upcoming reggae DJ at www.bobbyhollygood.com.

miss priss, I recommend you move to FL. Living in Florida it is a MUST that you have at least a working understanding of Patois as well as Spanish and Haitian Creole.
I like reggae too, and am kinda floored that artists like Sean Paul are just now beginning to get national exposure (although he is more dancehall than reggae).
Reggae Gold 1999 was the best thus far IMO, but 2002 is pretty good.
Also, and this might just be a FL thing, but there is an underground mixtape series called Black Chiney that puts reggae vocals on American hip hop and R&B tracks. It is hot down here. Maybe you can DL some of it off the net.

I think you mean Capleton. He is cool, but I really love Buju Banton. Great music with a message.
lol, I have been to NYC ladies, but unfortunatley I was TOO engrossed with those Puerto Rican guys in the BX.

Actually Shabba Ranks also has a new song on the Reggae Gold 2002 CD, so I think that he is trying to make a come back. I don't know whatever happened to Patra. Unfortunately female reggae/dancehall artists don't seem to have the longevity as their male counterparts (with a few execptions).
