I must be old, because I am not sure what to make of the phenomenon I see in pictures these days. Pic after pic, everyone is making goofy faces (sucking in their cheeks like a fishy) and flipping a sideways "peace" sign. Sometimes they label them "gangsta" pics.
Can someone explain to this old lady what this is all about? I would ask my cousins but I don't think I am cool enough to talk to about it.

It could be worse. Take your fingers and make a V. Put the V in front of your mouth and stick your tongue out.
I don't think what you've described has any meaning at all. I think it's just kids doing a stupid pose. They see other kids doing it and they follow.
Seriously, OTW is definitely right, it could be worse. I graduated school a year ago, and I look at pictures of the girls that are in now... and lordy, sometimes I want to be like... TAKE THAT DOWN!
Also, like OTW said, it's a thing of kids seeing other kids doing it, and mimicking it....
I've made my share of funny faces and doing stupid things, but not like I see now...
