Kappa Delta Sorority Organizes Collection of
Holiday Costumes and Toys For Hurricane Victims
In the aftermath of Hurricanes Rita and Katrina, Kappa Delta SororityŽ focuses its KiDs Need To Be Kids campaign on collecting Halloween costumes and Christmas and holiday toys for the youngest victims of the disasters and other needy children. "Every girl deserves to be a princess. Every boy should feel like a hero," says Melanie Schild, Kappa Delta's Executive Director. "A pair of Cinderella shoes, a Batman mask, a new toy truck, or a favorite game can bring a smile to the faces of those children who have lost everything."
Kappa Delta is encouraging individuals, businesses and organizations to send Halloween costumes by October 15 to its national headquarters at 3205 Players Lane, Memphis, TN 38125 or a local collegiate chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority. Holiday gifts such as new toys, games and books are being accepted until December 15. For more information on drop-off locations, call 800-536-1897 or visit
