I just finished watching the NAACP Image Awards. You weren't there. I guess it was your week with the kids. I am sad that yet again, you did not win. You know I voted for you, like I do every year that you get nominated. Even Hubby said, "Who in the hell watches CSI:NY?" when Hill Harper won. I did appreciate your co-star Regina Taylor (congrats to her for her win) for recognizing you as the star of "The Unit." I am also upset that CBS has not determined when and if your show would be back on. But don't worry, should CBS give you the ax, I will round up all of my military friends and we will protest. Anywho, when your kids go back to their mom's house, feel free to drop by.

Who do you think you are? You've never even seen me teach and the only people you are willing to speak with about my performance are the few other uptight White men. Both of my actual supervisors are the most fabulous Black administrators on earth, and neither of them has discussed me with you, so what are you trying to pull? Now you're trying to deny saying what you plainly and repeatedly DID say less than 24 hours ago. You are full of crap. You have already pissed off half of your staff with your gossip, shadiness, and arrogant demeanor, so how are you supposed to talk to hundreds of Black and Latino parents who will already be unhappy with the transition? You're the one with something to prove here, and you'd better get to it because I WILL be tape-recording every split second of every meeting we have from now on!

THEN you want to say gender has nothing to do with the way things go down in the classroom- yeah Mr. Privilege, I'm sure in your world demographics have nothing to do with anything! Don't tell me you're going to support me in any way and then deny me something as simple as a female co-teacher in a staff base that is 85% female.

Dear State of Florida HR office:

I STILL have NOT received my W-2! I have called you several times and informed you that I have NEVER received it! You keep telling me that you will call Tallahassee and request a new one. Last Monday, you said that you requested one for me and that I could pick it up on Thursday. So HC when Hubby and I came to the office on Thursday, it wasn't there? HC then I found out that you NEVER put in the request? I don't care if you had an emergency that took you out of the office all week! I want my W-2! I could have filed my taxes already!! First thing Tuesday morning, I am calling the IRS! Maybe the Feds'll light a fire under your behinds and make you act right!!

Dear Kellogg's,

Remember when you first came out with SmartStart? Remember how you handed out the little boxes as samples? Remember that? I do. It was around '97 or '98 cuz I was in City Year. We used to snack on them while out doing our service. Anyway, that was such a great idea! I got to taste before buying and I'm still a loyal fan. So I wonder: why didn't you do the same thing with these Frosted Flakes Gold????? THEY'RE A DISASTER!!!! What lab did y'all test these in? Matter of fact, where do y'all do y'all's taste testing? I'll sign up, cuz it's clear to me y'all need some help. You get rid of Honey Crunch Corn Flakes (which were perfectly delicious) but you come out with this crap. Yeah, I said it, CRAP. It belongs at Aldi's or somewhere like the Land of Misfit Cereals.

SmartStart is a fine cereal. I love that I can get 100% of my RDA of vitamins and minerals. I love that. But it is on my list of healthy cereals, not fun cereals. I bought this FFG mess instead of Corn Pops because I was trying to live on the edge and get a fun cereal. I figured I could have fun AND be healthy with FFG. Lemme tell you, it was NO FUN.

I'm mad at you. I got over the fact that you closed Cereal City before I even got to visit, but I just don't know about this. For real, Kellogg, WTHIRGO?

Dear Mama,

I miss you so very much. I knew you've been watching over me and the boys, and we are doing okay. I am out of the dark place I was in when you made your earthly departure, and lost 40 pounds while I was at it. I've made my peace with the fact that Mr.X is not coming back, and I have moved on. Your grandsons have grown so much. Your oldest grandson told me just this morning how much he misses watching cartoons with you, and he wishes you were here to watch him play football. I just want you to know how much I love you and miss you. It's still painful sometimes, and I still have my 'Mommy Moments', but it's at those times when I think of the way you couldn't dance to save your life, and the tears become bursts of laughter.

Mama, I thought I had someone in my life who would be good to me and good for me. He was everything I wanted in a man: tall, dark, handsome, intelligent, talented God-fearing, educated. But alas, I was wrong. I picked yet another one who was not worthy of my love. Not to worry, though. I didn't cry over this one, Mama. He's not worth my tears. I did tell him what I thought of his cowardly behavior, and I said goodbye like a lady. I've decided to just be by myself for a while. Dear CBS,

It vexes me that you have not made a decision to renew The Unit, which is my favorite Tuesday night show. You renewed NCIS and the CSI trilogy, to which Hubby said once again, "Who in the hell watches CSI:NY?" Who in the hell watches NCIS? That's boring! My boo Dennis needs his show. You do not want me to drive to New York and stage a protest! Please, please, please renew The Unit and let Dennis keep his job of looking good and making me happy.

Dear Soror 9dstpm,

You will be surprised on how many people watch NCIS. Some like it more than CSI (which I can't imagine, but to each its own). A lot of them are carry over fans from JAG. And I admit, I do watch CSI:NY. Get a letter writing (or e-mail writing) campaign going. Start a website. Send peanuts (it worked to bring Jerico back). I hope they bring The Unit back too.

I just wanted to drop you a little note to let you know how proud of you I am. Before you start trippin' i know that I have been the main one giving you grief. I know that I am hard on you and that sometimes that I can be your biggest obsticle. I would like to apologize for not writing this sooner because you are a wonderful woman. And despite what I have said to you, you are beautiful, smart, intelligent, and worthy of all that life has to offer. I know that sometimes I don't give you the credit you deserve. Dear people at former apartment complex in Greenville,

Your check and your keys are in the mail. You tried to charge me $50 for carpet cleaning to a clean, brand new carpet until Mama JB lit fire into your butts to wave that fee. It's bad enough I had to pay over $800 to get out of the lease. The apartment wasn't even worth half of that. I had problem after problem at that place and I AM SO GLAD TO BE GONE!!!! I hope that you somehow improve that place or no one will be staying there (if they had the problems I had).
