I used to go out in the same costume every year. I would go out as a fat dude. I used my grandfathers coat and some pillows to make me look big.
After a while, I used to get scared to go out trick or treating because back when I was a kid, a lot of kids would take their candy to get scanned to make sure tooth picks or razor blades weren't in the candy. There are some sick jokers in this world.

The only costume that I vividly remember was my "mix and match" scary movie killer costume. I think I had the Scream mask with Freddy Kreuger hands and a Jason machete -- something stupid like that. The only reason I remember it is because several of the parents in my neighborhood SWORE they had seen my costume in a preview for an upcoming movie

When I was younger, my brother, sister and I would do themes for Halloween... we've done the Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland & Peter Pan to name a few...
Favorite costumes? As a kid- Raggedy Ann, a teenager- 80's chick, college- beer garden girl
This year I'm going as a fairy... with a twist.

I was too!!! My mom and my grandmother made the costume, and that was a really hard costume to make!
I also grew-up in year-round school, and I was always tracked out during halloween, so my brother and I would go and visit my grandparents and go trick or treating with our cousins in Niagara Falls. The year I was the pink ranger, my brother and one of my cousins were the red ranger, and my other cousin was the green ranger.
I've also been a bride, princess, witch, a playing card (easy and cheap costume to make!) 50's girl (with a pink poodle skirt lol!), Miss America, however one costume I always wanted to do but never got to was be the bride of frankenstein (don't ask lol, I just kind of always wanted to).

As a kid it is a tie between...
The Ninja Costume my mom made me and my hobo costume complete with burnt cork beard and hobo pot.
As an adult...
I’m 6’7 and went to the thrift store and bought the tiniest blazer I could find. It didn’t take to long until the shoulders busted out as I wore it around the house…Big/Fat Guy in a Little Coat.

It would be a tie between when I was Scarlett O'Hara (the bbq dress), Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, or Devil with a Blue Dress On.
I must say, I enjoyed the Devil with a Blue Dress On. It was simple. I went to Macy's clearence section, found a slinky tight blue formal dress, and put on some sequined horns. Had a bunch of free drinks that night. I believe that was also when I got yelled at for texting someone 8 hours behind me in time zones professing my love for peach martini's.

This one was actually from my parents when I was little. They went to an adults halloween party with two other couples as a "6-pack." They got some cheap garbage cans and cut out the bottoms. They decorated the outsides like some beer brand and then roped them so that they rested on their shoulders. Then, they roped themselves together to form the 6-pack. If you get the outside label right, it is pretty impressive.

I remember being the Cowardly Lion, complete with mane and paws. That was my favorite year because my big sister was the one who took me trick-or-treating. She was dressed up at Homey D. Clown, complete with cardboard sign that said "Homey don't play that" and a sock full of powder to hit people with. It was the most awesome thing ever.

My G.I. Joe poncho. It got ripped on the school fence when I ran from a wild dog.

In grade school I was a clown, hippie, witch, doctor, chef, dorothy from wizard of oz, and maybe a spice girl? Nothing really super exciting.
In high school I was a cat and I dont remember what else.
Last year, I was a construction worker.
This year, I have nooo idea what I am going to be. I need ideas!!

My best Halloween costume ever was my junior year in high school. I went as Santa Claus. Confused the hell out of the neighborhood children.

This year for a costume party my husband and I went as Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. I bought a navy dress at the Salvation Army for $2. I squirted a blob of mayonnaise on it. I wore a black wig and a beret and wore my husband's black dress coat.
My husband wore a suit and I powdered his hair to make it gray. He had a cigar in his suit pocket.
It was really funny.

This is kind of vain and unoriginal, but two years ago, I came to a Halloween party as myself. It was totally useless, because people didn't get it. My "costume" was a nametag with my name. People kept asking me "hey, where are the rest of the name tags?"

In the 3rd grade, I was OBSESSED with She-Ra Princess of Power. I got a She-Ra halloween costume that year, of course. And a She-Ra birthday cake. And a She-Ra doll.
In the 7th and 8th grade I just made a sign out of a paper bag saying "Jay's Book Store- Books on Sale at half price." on front and "Happy Shopping" on the back. Who's Jay and why- I do not remember.
