Many news engines didn't report her passing until she had been cremated. Don't know why but that's how some people didn't know what day she actually passed away.

I just saw footage of her last interviews. She was so frail but still had a sense of humor and personality. She jokingly told a caller that she would be remembered for her mascara.

Soliloquy...hey sometimes you never know...u put so many chemicals on or in your body that after a while it can become toxic...and remember she had been doing it for quite a long long time.....

I think so, so unless she was smoking her mascara, I don't think the make-up had anything to do with it.

She had colon cancer and it spread to her lungs.

The family didn't let the news out until after she was cremated so that the family could have their time with her, instead of the media invading their mourning.

You've probably seen one of those emails that talk about the brands of lipstick that have high levels of lead. It's a hoax.

Are you really naive enough to believe that make-up companies would be in business if their products were toxic?

And no, you are not allowed to compare the dangers of Cover Girl to the dangers of Marlboro. They are in no way related because make-up is used on a mass-basis, where as tobacco isn't. Plus you have to be 18 to buy cigs, not foundation.

I just.. I .. can't even.. fathom.. why you would even remotely think something so ludicrous.

I'm not purposefully trying to be rude, but I've just never heard of such a silly idea.

and what may be ludicrous today may be fact tomorrow.....just as a pre emptive..if this turns out true in another 10 to 20 years....let me finish by saying...."I told you so."

Too much of anything (in some cases not naturally occuring ) can be bad for your health.

I agree with that..... I don't think the makeup contributed to her death, but I can definitely understand the logic.

and that's what I trying to say a few posts ago...not that it was a DIRECT contributor to the cause of cancer...but the toxins taken in from the makeup along with whatever else she had going on (u all know she was addicted to tranquilizers too right?) along with just straight out stress, weakened her body.

It may be a misplaced argument (since this is her R.I.P thread) but I completely agree with your logic.

You never said her mascara killed her.

That second link is very obviously a site to get you to buy a certain brand of "organic" cosmetics and toiletries. Hardly impartial.

The fourth link contains links to click on which get you back to...the second link.

"Organic" and "natural" does not mean safe or good for you. A dog is obviously a "natural" thing, but if you're allergic to dogs, it isn't good to be around one, is it? I bought some "natural" mascara from The Body Shop once and had a terrible reaction to it.

Don't buy the organic is good/chemicals are Satan hype. It's ridiculous.
