www.peointernational.org. It's so funny that you mention P.E.O. I was invited to an upcoming get-together (i.e. rush party) last night. It is similar to a sorority but they do not call themselves that. From what I understand, the proper name is The P.E.O. Sisterhood. The Sisterhood was founded in 1869 on the campus of Iowa Wesleyan College, Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Their primary focus is the education of women and they are the only organization of its kind to own and operate a college today, Cottey Junior College. I can't wait to get to know the members.
A bit of trivia for all you Greek history buffs. When P.E.O. decided to release their three collegiate chapters, early 1900s I think, the chapters were absorbed by Alpha Xi Delta!
