I agree w/ FirstandFinest about asking your sisters! For our formal, lots of sisters found dates for other sisters who didn't know any guys to ask to formal. It worked out great!
I know the first few ADPi events I went to, my Alpha class usually stuck together (mainly because we were all new and were all still getting accustomed to the whole sorority thing). It worked out great because now we're all really close to each other in addition to branching out and being close to other sisters as well.
