I think it's going to be different for everyone. If you want to wait, fantastic! If you do it on the first night, hey, whatever works for you. With hubby, it was sooner than I maybe would have waited with someone else, but I already knew by then I was going to marry him. (on our second date if you were wondering). I have no problems with people having sex solely for gratification, as long as both parties understand and are okay with that. When one is looking for more, that's when you have problems (that's something that took me a while to learn).

I read somewhere that humans and dolphins are the only creatures that have sex for pleasure and pigs can orgasm for up to 30 minutes. Damn.

I waited about a week with my first. My friends thought I was nuts. (I was one of the first in my group of friends to lose my virginity.) But it felt like the right thing to do and I have no regrets either.

I started dating my boyfriend 2 months ago and we still have not done it. It is wierd cause we have both had sex befroe and have never waited for very long...but since we both really are enjoying getting to know each other we are waiting until it is the right time. Hopefully ti will make our relationship alot stronger

A few months ago, I dated this guy whom I really liked and whom I really thought things were going to work out with. He spent the night at my house one night, but we didn't do it, and then he never called me again, so I thought that might be the reason. Well, I found out Friday night that wasn't it at all--in fact he was appalled that I thought that. I guess he almost got back together with an ex and that was why he blew me off. Still sucked, but whatever.
