how long do you wait?
 

couldn't find a thread like this anywhere...

after starting a new relationship that you would really like to see last and grow into something good, how long do you wait before you have sex? not that there's a magical number of months or dates, but what is a good amount of time?

Its not good to make the boy wait long . . get it out of the way as soon as possible! :)

I like to wait a few months. This is because I like to really get to know the person first.........and I dont think that can be done after the first date, second date, or even after the tenth date.......takes time. I've found that those relationships where I wait longer usually last longer.

Heh...I waitied 2 weeks with TKE209..and that's with losing the great V also...but then again we've been together for over 2 years...

If we would ever break up I would wait at least 3 months.

I think it's a good idea if wait until you know for sure they're not only in it for the pootang....

I was friends with Mr. OTW for a few months before we actually started dating. When we first started dating, I knew that he was special because my first instinct was NOT to rip off all his clothes and boink.

Dates and dates and weeks and weeks later, we still haven't did the deed. It's better off this way, for now, anyway.

There's still some baggage to be dealt with on both fronts, so I really can't put a timeline on how long it'll be.

But when it does happen, bet that you'll be reading it in the diaries. Mwahahaha.

OTW, you are NOT encouraging the rest of us who are hoping there's a great guy out there who is also up for a clothes-ripping boink.

There's a very easy, surefire way to figure this one out. First, multiply the number of dates you've been on by the Magic Age At Which People Should Get Married, and divide that by the number of licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie-Pop. Then, add the guy's shoe size, subtract the number of Sundays in the year 1980, and then get the square root of the number you just figured.

In other words, I don't think it really matters. :p Everybody's different.
