I'm still undecided. I feel you on the gambling issue, but must admit I've bought some Georgia Lotto tickets a few times in the past. Gov. Hodges wants to model our lottery after the one in Georgia, but there are a couple of problems that may influence whether or not it is successful if approved: 1. South Carolina does not have the population base that Georgia has, and 2. South Carolina does not have the border states that Georgia has to feed into its lottery system.
Georgia has Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina as border states. We only share borders with Georgia and North Carolina.
