You keep them in a “darkroom”? Dude, I wonder what your house looks like. It probably looks like a museum with “DO NOT TOUCH!” on everything LOL.
What’s the difference between yours and your student’s?

Turns out TKEGuy has a Model T. I never even noticed it in the back of the garage. Huh.

So, have you ever heard of “Jamaican Cow Cod Soup”? lol. It’s a penis from a bull chopped up in soup. And the South American giant tarantulas? People eat those too. And so, I looked up balut. I’d puke if I ate that. Then I looked up what the taste is like. I gagged a little reading it. SO gross!

My bad, man. I meant to reply to your post. It’s not an actual dark-room, it’s just a room that blocks out the sunlight to prevent paint fading.
His are toy-like. Mine are actually scaled replicas lacking zero detail. Everything is there.

No - I need to ask, but I'm guessing it doesn't right now. His motorcycle isn't running right now either. He has a long list of stuff to fix. lol

How can you tell it wasn’t real? When I hear Ferrari, I think of exotic, not a car like that one.

He and I are in the same boat. My MG isn’t running right now either. I’m in the process of removing old parts and replacing them with safer, more up to date parts.

It’s easy to tell. A real California LWB looks nothing like it. That’s not even Ferrari time period sound. Awful.
I see where you’re coming from but I don’t think of Ferrari like you do when I see or hear the name. For me, the last truly great Ferrari was the F40. Everything about it with its rawness, the mechanical purity and the lack of electronic interference felt like the final chapter in the era Enzo built. After he passed, it feels like the soul of the brand shifted. After Enzo, I’ve liked a few here and there, like the first gen Maranello, the 458, the F12, and the 599. Those Ferraris had flashes of that old DNA.
But overall, Ferrari’s post-Enzo direction feels more curated than passionate. As a stylist, I just feel that from their inception through the late 80s, the cars moved me emotionally. They weren’t just performance machines. To me, they were pretty much emotional statements. I don’t quite get that same feeling from most of the newer models now.

Ohhh… kay? Mea culpa? I forgot, your garage has standards, “emotional” layers, and like a microfiber cloth for every occasion. How endearing. Is this better?
