Basically. We did the same thing at my chapter, we would call "Bond" (as in our bond/initiation order). We only ever used it for silly stuff, like answering the phone or the door.
Here is another question. In Kappa Delta, all pledges (I'm sorry, when I was in college they were pledges and I just can't change wha tI call them!) and sisters were to stand upon an Alumna entering the room. Now, I see no problem with this at all, it is a display of respect for those who came before you (much like in the military, how they salute). However, might some see this as hazing?
