Ok, I read through all the posts, and I'm gonna suggest something that may sound odd, but I know for a fact that it this idea did work at Miami University with a professor.

If it's possible with your organization, try bringing a small contingent of your members dressed nicely, and offer to this professor an opportunity to become the groups faculty advisor or offer him the chance to come into your organization and experience first hand what Greek Life is like.

At Miami University the Kappa Sigma fraternity had a professor who wasn't Greek himself, and had no idea what the real life of the Greek system was about so the chapter offered this professor the opportunity to become the groups faculty advisor. His whole preception changed, and he made one request, that he go though the groups pledge process and be initiated like all the other members. The fraternity contacted the HQ and under special circumstances were allowed and this professor was initiated after going through the entire pledge process with the group.

He became a strong supporter of the Greek system for many years.

My suggestion with this professor who seems to want to bash the system, may not be fully knowledgeable about the system, and given the proper chances to see firsthand what Greek life is really about, he may be willing to have a change of heart.

Just a thought. It did work at this school and may be an option to help educate the guy rather than making him feel even harsher against Greeks if all Greeks just give him a bad report.
