My lovely sisters who are not white are not pretending to be anything. They are Kappa Deltas.
As someone who was raised Catholic, I'm not pretending, either.

I was wanting to give you the ESL benefit of the doubt, but I find I cannot do that since you're a non-lying WASP. You're also a moron, bless your heart.

First of all, this better not be GreekRegret or some other sock puppet trying to distract GC.
Second of all, Diana007 is both correct and incorrect. Anyone who has read and understood that "diversity in the NPC" thread and other GC threads knows what's up.

DianaOO7 doesn't have the experience to say one way or another. She doesn't belong to either an NPC or NPHC sorority. If my sisters or a member of an NPC or NPHC have something to say about diversity in the NPC, they have the experience to say something.
She needs to stay in her lane.

Some of that is her lane just like it was my lane when I was in high school and college to determine that NPC wasn't what I wanted. I didn't just wake up one morning as a Delta so it was definitely my lane before pledging Delta to research and pursue this NPHC sorority. Nonmembers are not so clueless and nonobservant.

I am still trying to figure this out as well
And to the OP - it has been suggested elsewhere in this thread that once you've graduated perhaps you can get involved with your NPC sorority as an alumna and help correct the things you thought were wrong...be an advisor or some other sort of volunteer. Unless your fully resign your membership, you are a member for life so make the best of it and get involved - pay your alumna dues and volunteer!

That's different than saying that non-white members of NPCs are "pretending" to beo something they are not. How the *#&$^&@#% would she know what their experience is or isn't? How would she know what they want or should want or what would be best for them?
Diana007's suggestions that NPC groups are only for WASPs is wrong. An NPC is a different experience for non-white members and lots of people may prefer an NPHC group for very good reasons. The women who choose to join NPC groups, however, aren't pretending to be something that they are not.
We're also maybe running up against different expectations re. member intake. NPHC groups seem to say "do your research and then approach a group that you want to join." NPC says "keep an open mind and go through recruitment."
BTW, DianaOO7 doesn't really have a lane. She is a college graduate. Many (most?) NPC groups don't actively recruit women who are post-graduation.

Diane007 is not incorrect for some of the white BGLO members.
Diane007 could have been saying that she doesn't feel as though the average "WASP" has a vested, longterm interest and investment in racial and ethnic minority communities. And I would agree 100%. If Diane007 is among the tons of white people who simply don't care, thanks for the honesty and go elsewhere.

Most NPC groups don't actively recruit members who are post-graduate. They don't have regular intake procedures for alumnae members. There are avenues for alumnae initiation, but it's an exception, not a regular path to membership.
That's just the way it works.

I think Diane007 was created as a distraction and should not be taken seriously.

You are actually a very boring troll. You really need to improve your trolling skills. *yawn*

Diana:
You've described what you could not do as a collegiate and your reasons for not being able to do what you wanted to do. It seems that you are expressing feelings about the loss of a wished-for NPC sorority experience.
Describe your goal with regard to NPC sororities. For example, do you want to join one?
Describe how you plan to achieve your goal. For example, do you plan to look into AI?
The reason that I ask is that I don't understand where you are coming from in this thread nor do I understand what you are trying to achieve.
