As a college instructor, I have seen my share of names. Each year, I scan my freshman class lists for interesting/classic/unusual names.

A name that CONSTANTLY comes up is Tiffany, even after 7 years. What has changed, though, is the spelling.

I am (for good or bad) a purist when it comes to names, so tweaks/clever spellings/phonetic spellings horrify me. But--to each his own!

Here are some of the spellings of Tiffany I have seen--and continue to see:

Tiffany (the classic) Tifany
Tiffanee
