RIFL, my good doctor. I didn't say I hate them. I said they are unappealing, which is quite a different thing. I do not hate them, but neither do I find them irresistible like some people do. It is very easy for me to pass them up, because I do not find them be worth the effort involved in chewing. I do not hate them; I simply don't want them.

I have put your vote under Team Hard. Team Soft is still winning.
You fail to grasp that you have an underlying problem that is undermining the credibility and reliability of your data: assuming that there are only two categories, hard and soft, and trying to force all cookies to fit those two categories. You compound that error by assuming all share your perception of hardness and softness. Tsk.

This is an evil peer review. I wish I had submitted my research to a different journal.

You can take or leave chocolate chip cookies. That's exactly how I feel about gingerbread cookies.

There are only two categories because "crispy" tolls the line. Would "crispy" become hard if left on the kitchen counter for 20 minutes?

(You have still been placed on Team Hard.)

No.

And I am content to be a team unto myself. If I am forced to be on Team Hard or Team Soft, I will just take my ball and go home. 'Cause that's how this cookie crumbles.

SOFT only crumbles when it's been sitting around for too long and has gotten HARD.
