Well now wait a minute. '...anything else banana-flavored...'?? What kind of banana pudding are you getting that doesn't have real bananas? I wouldn't eat banana flavored pudding, but banana pudding? Practically heaven on earth.
What in the world is wrong with you and SWTXBelle? All this time I thought y'all were good people. I feel misled.

Most of the things I hate don't look good, like shellfish. (Yes, I know.) I mean, just look at a shrimp. The things that qualify for this thread for me are melons. I can't abide cantaloupe and honeydew, even though I love most fruit, they are aesthetically pleasing, and I do like cucumber-melon-scented bath products. I can eat fresh watermelon, but it's not really that great, either, and faux-watermelon candy belongs on that other thread.

Agreed on all counts. I don't really like shellfish, cantaloupe, or mandarin oranges. I've eaten all of them and I would eat them again to be polite but they are so not my thing. I do however love watermelon and honeydew.

Oh yeah. What could be more tasty than soggy Nilla wafers? (And is there any kind of banana pudding that doesn't have Nilla wafers?)
Seriously, I know the wafers aren't always soggy, but I still don't like it.

I should have been more specific -- by "banana flavored" I meant "things flavored with banana," not "things with real or artificial banana flavoring."
Banana's aren't my favorite food by a long shot -- I rarely choose a banana if there are other options available, but I have learned to eat them when there aren't other choices and I'm hungry. But I don't want anything that tastes like banana except a banana straight out of the peel. A banana I can manage. Mushy banana I can't. Banana pudding, banana splits, bananas Foster, banana bread, banana pancakes . . . . yuck. It's just too much banana for me.
We all have to have our quirks.
Did I mention that I don't like watermelon either? (Love shellfish, though. Other fish, not so much.)

Between this, no sandwiches and PUMPKIN...Mr. No Pumpkin Pie for Thanksgiving....you would starve 3 seasons of the year at my house and go hungry the other one.

LOL. I'll eat fish if it's what served, but I never get excited about it and I'd never choose it if beef, pork, chicken, shellfish, lamb, veal, venison . . . were available.
As for sandwiches, that's usually easy. Take all those things off the bread and eat them in non-sandwich form.
I'm not budging on banana or pumpkin, though.

I'm with you on that.
My grandmother used to make AMAZING sweet potato pie. Someone once served me a piece of what I thought was sweet potato pie but ended up being pumpkin. That ruined it for me forever.

"least classy" Hmmm? OK, guilty as charged, but within the context of the moment it was one of the funniest unintentional comments ever heard by me. Even the girls who made the comments couldn't stop laughing when the penny dropped and they realized what they said.
"Pretentious" Hmmm? According to Webster: Pretentious is defined as:
1: characterized by pretension: as in making of usually unjustified or excessive claims.
I plead guilty to arrogance, which is probably worse, but I do not believe pretentious is accurate in my case. I do not make unjustified or excessive claims. Unless I am making an obvious joke or ironic comment I do try to keep things strictly within the bounds of those things which ARE and not those which I might prefer them to be.
