Raw oysters. I tried them over the weekend, and I almost puked.

Vegetables. Yes, all of them.

Oatmeal. I love, love, love the smell of different oatmeals (my roommate used to make those Quaker instant ones with the different flavors). I've tried it a few times because it seems so good, but the consistency never sits well with me.

They look nasty, smell nasty and there is NO WAY in HECK I would put that in my mouth. You have my sympathies.

Ditto on the oysters.
And coffee (and hot chocolate for that matter). Love the smell, , love how it looks, despise the taste.

I get called to do taste tests/surveys at a local research place every once in a while. I got called for an oatmeal taste test, and it had been a while since I had last tried it, so I think the memory of my dislike for it had faded away. I needed the money so naturally I lied in the screener survey so that I would get selected. We had to eat half of each bowl and had 4 bowls. By the 4th bowl I was just omg, get me out of here!!!!!

Pineapple and mayonnaise sandwich. Yuck!! I had one at a reception one time. It's such a strange, gross combination. Maybe it's because I'm a Yankee that I don't like it.

More oysters for me!

I LOVE oysters - youngest son (8) tried them and was NOT a fan. But I was impressed - I didn't learn to love oysters until I was in my 30s, and never tried them till then, because they are the OPPOSITE of the op's title - they look as though they would not taste good, and yet they DO.

Vegemite from Australia. Almost any food from India.

Sushi. Looks beautiful, but I cannot do it at all.
Nasty stuff.
I also feel the same about Jen's dislike of coffee. It smells AMAZING but is too bitter for me.

Turkish Delight. I'd always been dying to try it because Peter in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe raved about it but maaaaaan that stuff was not the business.

LOL Did anyone else make the mistake of thinking vanilla extract would taste the way it smelled when they were little? :p
