Y'all are going to think I'm crazy, but WHEN HE GETS OLDER, Robert Pattinson should do a Batman movie. He's not a particularly good actor, and I really don't think he's all that good looking, but he's got that awkward/eccentric look on camera that would do well for Bruce. He's also buff enough to do the Batman part. It would really depend on how his voice ages or what he could manipulate it to do that would be the deciding factor in the end.
And before y'all call me out as a Twilight fan, I love the movies in an awesomely-bad way. I think the acting is terrible and the effects are cheesy (even after they upped the budget for the sequels), but they are hilariously entertaining to watch for that reason.

Yes. I don't care who plays him, Bruce always seems awkward to me...and I like it that way. After all, as Chase says "A grown man who dresses like a bat..."
And Pattinson is at least as buff as Clooney was.

Bless your heart.
I just really don't know what else to say.

I guess I should mention that I've never seen any of the animated versions, and it's been forever since I've seen either Keton or West's versions...so I'm more used to the darker takes.

See, I grew up on the comics (well, and on Adam West). I've never really watched the animated versions. From the comics of my youth, the mental picture I have is of a Batman who looks like this:
or this:
Bruce Wayne is supposed to a cool, fairly superficial, really wealthy playboy. That's my problem with "awkward." But at the same time, it has to be believable that he could be as strong and athletic as Batman.
So, in the interest of some other names if Bale is being counted out, how about Armie Hammer?

I need to point the youngsters I mentor to this post and bold. That way they can no longer kill themselves in the gym for a fantasy of what they think women think is buff. But that's another thread for another day. LOL
As for the Robert Pattinson, naaaah. But I do see potential in his acting, problem is he is starting to get typecast as the emo kid.
