Absolutely agree. No bride that I know wants to share the spotlight (and that is what would be happening if BIL proposed the night before the wedding) with another relative who has just become engaged. Not only that, he would soooo win if AFTER the wedding he told his GF that the cousin's wedding made him realize how much he loves her, and how much he wants to spend the rest of his life with her, blah blah blah. And she of course would WAL.
