im African american and plan on rushing at my transfer school . Honestly for someone to judge another by the color of there skin in a sorority surprises me a little just based on the fact that If a African American young women chooses to Rush and not show interest in NPC and feel comfortable with Panhellenic Coun. why should you feel a certain way about it, obviously she has done her research or talked to a friend about it. "It's only awkward if you make it awkward" If your house goes into the process with an open mind just as those black or white do then you'll find that you guys are more alike than you think.

As long as you remember that you are giving advice as an outsider to the entire process.

(It took a lot for me to overlook the grammar, spelling, and syntax errors in your post, which is our first impression of you on GC.)

You did better than I did. I couldn't get past the first sentence or two.

Am I the only one growing tired of college educated people that can't write? If I had my way (says the former English teacher), one would not graduate with a degree unless basic writing skills were proven.

I want to scream every time I see a multitude of errors in a single post. Mistakes here and there are one thing; inability to write coherently and within the rules of the American English language makes me crazy.

Yes!!!
Then people come back with: "It's just an internet forum; what difference does it make?"
When people can't figure out what you said, or ignore it because they can't easily figure it out....it DOES make a difference (says the degreed-in-English former newspaper copy editor)!
