Same reason that although Spike TV "conclusively" proved you could get drunker through an alcohol suppository, no one does it.

I'm just wondering, could this be because people actually want to drink their 'fill' in alcohol as opposed to just going from zero to drunk as he!!?

Well there are some drugs that are essentially powdered alcohol, but no idea if they work THAT way.

A women actually got convicted of manslaughter for killing her husband by giving him a brandy enema when he couldn't drink anymore due to severe dysphagia from esophageal or some other cancer, maybe head and neck. Couldn't let him get sober, now could she?!
