Didn't get a bid but still want to be in a sorority?

Just go to the local Greek store and have a shirt made with the letters of your fave chapter on it!

Feeling extra spiffy, make a bag too.

Just wear them both around campus, you'll fit right in and the current sisters will love it.

While wearing said items, just randomly sit down with a group of them in the cafeteria.

Voila! Instant sisterhood. I guarantee it.

[This advice is not only good for NPC sororities, but NPHCs too.]

This is among CG's horror stories. Mexican vacation circa 1989. *shudders* I think I blacked out before we even made it to the hospital. So for the record, everything people say about tap water goes for ice cubes, too!!!

Also a do for if you don't get a bid to a sorority that you want-- come to GC and ask how you can go AI with them. Make sure that you're at minimum a sophomore, if not a second semester freshman, who has gone through rush only once and informally, and don't bother checking if your dream sorority even does AI first-- that's what GC experts are for! Remember, it's way smarter to start planning your AI journey early than to bother re-rushing and giving all the sororities on campus a chance.

Oh yes. Most definitely. After all, you DESERVE to be in a sorority after everything you've accomplished in your 2 years of undergrad.

Also, if you're a legacy to a sorority on campus, you need to start a letter-writing campaign to the chapter over the summer detailing all of your awesome qualities and reminding the chapter that they HAVE to give you a bid. Why? Because you're a legacy, duh.

If you should happen to be cut fron your legacy chapter during recruitment, you and your mom/sister/aunt/etc. need to IMMEDIATELY drive to the chapter house and cause a HUGE scene.

You are a LEGACY and they have NO RIGHT to deny you a bid. That's like, discrimination.

When I was in college, one of my classmates told me she was guaranteed to be an XYZ (NPHC) because she was a legacy--her godmother was one. I didn't say anything.
