The problem is, it sounds like this girl didn't care if they were a match or not. she just wanted to be part of a popular chapter. To use your example, it's like dating a complete douch of a guy that you can't stand and have nothing in common with, just because he is like a star quarterback. Recruitment shouldn't be a popularity contest. It should be about finding the place that fits you as a new home.

but what if the place that fits you is the most popular house??????? i mean i might date the quarterback if i thought itd get someone else to notice me, just like i might date a total nerd if i thought itd make the quarterback jealous maby thats what this girl was doing with those other houses so she could get into the one she wanted????? it just seams like if u kno what house is right for u, u should go for that house and not care what any of the other houses think!!!

That's not how recruitment works.

You can *think* that Top House is for you until the cows come home. They could still cut you.

If you only shoot for the Top House, and Top House cuts you, you're in for quite a shock and some hurt.

Which is why we advise girls to keep their minds open.

(A) Sometimes you don't deserve the quarterback, no matter how much you think you do.

(B) It doesn't really matter what it SEEMS like to you. The women in the houses actually know what the houses are like and judge accordingly. You don't and consequently, you really only get to choose from houses you are invited back to.

(C). Try out your recruitment plan. For realz. It won't work out.
