I can't speak for anyone else, I can only speak for me. He said that those who voted for him "to make a change America" made a mistake. I voted for him and I think I made a mistake.

So if you had a bladder infection, went to his office to be seen and saw that sign you would...

Honestly at some point I would be concerned about his level of treatment if he is letting politics cloud his thinking about who he is treating.

He was successful at doing what he intended to do:

1) Get attention.
2) Speak out about the bill (even if he doesn't know much about the actual bill--95% of Americans don't, yet there are medical professionals and everyday citizens who are either pissed or excited about it for no damn reason)

I didn't say anything about the sign, I just said that I agree with him when he said that voting for Obama was a mistake. I don't think anyone who's sick and needs medical care should be turned away.

In his very first interview (before the dumb media took this and ran with it), he said that his office doesn't turn anyone away. People who look past the sign and still seek treatment are treated. The people who see the sign and walk away--or complain--are a different story.

I know that. My post was just about what I highlighted in bold. I think Obama being in office is a mistake. That's all I'm saying. That sign was dumb and, it really isn't any of his business who voted and who didn't vote for Obama. I think anyone who goes to see a Dr. like that is dumb for letting him give them treatment.

I didn't type that to "school" you. You don't think anyone should be turned away and that doctor is allegedly not really turning anyone away.

I know you weren't, DrPhil. I see what you're saying, it's just that to post a sign on the door like that is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Who would want to be seen by a Dr. like that anyway?

CG, the question is still on the table. This is a medical professional who has to treat you. He spoke out against the bill although he claims he has no real working knowledge of it (surprise there as most docs have NO idea how insurance really works) but you have to see him to have a condition treated.

Would you still go or seek treatment elsewhere?

Would you be concerned at the level of care he gives, knowing this?

My vote should never be a prerequisite for my medical treatment.

I would seek treatment somewhere else.

And there is the problem. A patient should never have to seek another doctor because of this example.

If more doctors start drawing political lines as to who they will treat, just IMO only, they are violating many ethical rules that they themselves created in order to treat ALL who need to be treated.

To me, doctors don't really have the 'right' to turn away anyone due to a discriminatory preference and that is what I see here and scarily enough, this isn't the end of this.

I couldn't agree with you more. I was just agreeing with him when he said it was a mistake voting Obama as POTUS.
