People who use "reach out to" rather than "call", "email" or, more simply just "contacted".
As in "we reached out to you earlier to find out about the project status, but you did
not reach out to us in return to let us know." WTF?
I've heard clients use the phrase 5 times in 5 sentences, and it's really annoying.

That sounds really funny in that context! I think I've heard it that way before and also went
. You usually reach out to a friend in need.
